A great appreciator of beauty I, of course, adore flowers. When living in Hawaii I often walked the paths of the local Botanical Gardens. A favorite that I visited many times was the Wahiawa Botanical Garden. A hidden gem located in the middle of Oahu I could always count on solitude and peace here. And of course, a never ending display of beauty.
I was reminded of a wonderful little poem as I gazed at this particular flower and later again when I brought it home. I always bring home my favorite flowers in the best way I can to enjoy and preserve it’s beauty. As fine art.
“Silently a flower blooms,
In silence it falls away;
Yet here now, at this moment, at this place,
The world of the flower, the whole of
the world is blooming.
This is the talk of the flower, the truth
of the blossom:
The glory of eternal life is fully shining here.”
